Support and Resistance: How to Draw Levels That Hold | Borearis
Support is where buyers have stepped in; resistance is where sellers have. They are zones, not exact prices.
How to draw them
- Use swing highs and lows, not every wick.
- Prefer levels touched two or three times with a reaction.
- Mark the zone, then wait for a close, not a touch.
Role reversal
Broken resistance often becomes support, and the reverse. The level does not move; its role does.
How to trade them
Trade the reaction: a rejection wick plus a close back inside the range. A close beyond the zone invalidates the idea.
See live levels on the gold page, then size the trade with the position size calculator.
How many touches make a level valid?
Two or three reactions are a useful start; more touches also weaken the level over time.
Should I enter on the touch?
Better to wait for a close or a rejection candle.
