Methodology & Editorial Standards
This page explains how the content on Borearis is produced, who is responsible for what, and how we keep the numbers reliable. In short: models compute the numbers, AI helps explain them in plain language, and every result is published.
1. Where the data comes from
- Prices: live broker MT5 quotes and candles across forex, metals, indices, commodities, crypto and US stocks. When quotes pause or a market is closed, pages show the time of the last quote.
- Economic calendar: economic releases, central bank decisions and actual figures; post-release volatility is measured release by release from historical candles.
- News: collected every 10 minutes from more than ten Chinese and English financial and crypto outlets, plus the Borearis daily briefings. Every story links to the original; where a source gives no publish time, we show the time we collected it.
2. Numbers come from models
Key levels, short-term signals, swing signals, patterns, technical scores, event volatility and news sentiment scores are all calculated by software from fixed rules and refreshed every 30 minutes, not judged ad hoc by people or AI. When a rule changes, the full history is re-tested with the new rule and the published results are updated.
3. AI only explains the numbers
Text marked "AI-assisted" (such as the AI market story on each market page and the one-line news summaries) is written by AI from facts we have already computed. AI does not create levels, issue signals or give trading advice. The research personas in the app and on this site (such as Hiroshi Yamamoto and Victor Lim) are personas set up by the research team, not individuals, and their views are likewise produced by models combined with AI. How AI is scoped and checked:
- AI receives only the facts we have computed (prices, levels, indicators, events, news), and its instructions forbid adding numbers of its own;
- automatic pre-publication checks: questions and sections must be complete and in the right language, with no buy/sell recommendations;
- anything that fails is not published; the previous version stays up and is rewritten in the next round.
4. Every result is published
Every short-term signal, swing signal and pattern is timestamped and tracked to the end, whether it hits target, stops out or expires. Results are after spreads, with historical backtests, live-quote look-backs and the live record labelled separately. See the full record on the short-term signals, swing signals and patterns pages.
5. Update schedule
- Levels, signals, patterns, technical scores and the 360 view: every 30 minutes
- News collection: every 10 minutes; sentiment statistics: every 30 minutes
- AI market stories: rewritten when prices, levels, signals or news change, at least every 12 hours
- Event volatility statistics: daily
6. Limits and corrections
Content is for reference only, is not investment advice and does not guarantee profit; trading involves risk. If you spot an error in a number or text, tell us via the support page or in-app feedback and we will correct it as soon as it is confirmed. See the full disclaimer.
