How to Spot Fake Free Gold Signals: 6 Checks Before You Copy a Trade
Free gold signals are everywhere on Telegram and social media, many claiming win rates above 90%. Run these 6 checks before copying a trade: is there a stop loss, is every result published, and was the signal posted before the move or after it.

Open Telegram, Facebook or TikTok and you will find groups offering free gold signals with 95% win rates. Some are run seriously; others exist to sign you up with a broker or sell a course. These 6 checks take five minutes and filter out most unreliable signals.
1. Does every signal state an entry, a stop loss and a target?
A reliable signal always tells you where to enter, where to get out if it is wrong (the stop loss), and where it is aiming (the target). A bare "buy gold now" with no stop puts all the risk on you.
2. Is every result published, including losses?
Be careful with channels that only post winning screenshots and never mention losses. Every approach has losing periods, so an honest record will show losing trades and even losing months. Only a record that lists every trade, month after month, is worth using.
3. Was the signal posted before the move, or after?
A common trick is to post "we called it" once the move is over. Check the timestamp: was the signal sent before the move started? Can you scroll back to the original message in the channel, rather than just a screenshot?
4. Do they quote win rate but never risk-reward?
A 90% win rate sounds great, but if each win makes $1 and each loss costs $15, you still lose money over time. Look at average win and average loss, not just the win rate.
5. Do you have to do something first?
Deposit with a specific broker, pay a VIP fee, or invite friends before you get the "real" signals: these are warning signs. You should be able to judge the quality of the signals before you give anything.
6. Have you tested with small size or a demo account?
Even a good signal deserves a trial run at 0.01 lots or on a demo account. Compare your actual fills, slippage and execution with the results the provider claims. At 0.01 lots, a $1 move in gold is only $1, so mistakes are cheap.
