Chart A or B: which is trending? 3 seconds. Go.
Two charts. One is trending, one is a trap. Can you tell which in three seconds?
- Check the highs and lows: lower highs + lower lows = downtrend.
- New high, then a new low right after = chop, no direction.
- Clean swings (push, pause, push) vs overlapping candles where every move gets erased.
- Trade only the trending chart. In chop, step aside and wait.

Two charts. One is trending, one is a trap.
Can you tell which in three seconds?
Both are real silver charts, one-hour candles. A is from early October, B from mid-October.
Check one: the highs and lows. On B, every high is lower than the last, and every low is lower too.
That's a clean downtrend. Sellers are in control.
On A, price makes a new high, then a new low right after. No direction at all.
Check two: clean swings versus overlap.
B moves in clear steps. Push down, small pause, push down again.
A's candles keep overlapping each other. Every move up gets erased.
So the answer is B. A is the trap.
Anyone chasing breakouts in A got whipsawed both ways. The jump to 62 reversed, and the drop below 60 bounced.
Rule three: trade only the trending chart. When it's chop, step aside and wait.
And in a downtrend like B, look to sell the bounces, not catch the bottom.
Save this. Lower highs, lower lows, clean steps: trend, trade it. New high then new low, overlapping candles: chop, step aside.
