Same lot every trade, or a percent of your account?
One of these quietly protects you during losing streaks.
Real gold chart: 0.05 lots at 4,088. Each 1 dollar move is 5 dollars.
Stop at 4,078: 10 dollars away, 50 at risk.
Stop under the swing low, at 4,063: 25 dollars away, 125 at risk.
Fixed lots: risk jumps with every stop, and won't shrink with your account.
Percent risk: pick a small number, like 1 percent. On 5,000 dollars, 50.
Size from the stop instead. 25 dollar stop: 0.02 lots. Still 50.
After losses, 1 percent of a smaller account is less. Size shrinks on its own.
Save this. Pick a small percent. Size from the stop. Smaller account, smaller size.
